Wolfram and Hart, a law firm that represents the evil and truly guilty established itself as the main villain for season 1. After the shocking, cliffhanger season finale, it can only be assumed that they will be just as much of a villain next season. As more lawyers and partners are introduced, and enough information is provided, their character information will be posted here.
Holland
Holland was first introduced in the episode, "Blind Date." He started out one level above Lindsey, Lilah, and Lee by the end of "Blind Date" he was moving up. He oversaw Lindsey's work on a case involving blind woman, Vanessa Brewer. When Lindsey helped Angel sneak into the office building and steal files from the vault, Angel also took a scroll from the vault before leaving. This set off an alarm and all of the employees at Wolfram and Hart were kept inside for questioning. However, the law firm's idea of questioning involved mind readers. Once he was offered a job of higher status, Holland also offered Lindsey the chance for a promotion. In the season finale, Holland worked with Lindsey and Lilah when Vocah was brought forth from the underworld for a Raising ritual. Holland is portrayed by actor Sam Anderson
Lindsey McDonald
Lindsey McDonald, portrayed by Christian Kane first appeared in the series premiere episode, "City Of." He represented vampire Russell Winters up until the point when Angel pushed Russell out of a window. Since then, Lindsey helped recruit runaway slayer, Faith, to kill Angel. Shortly after that, Lindsey was the representative lawyer in the Vanessa Brewer case. However, once he heard that she was going after children, he asked his worst enemy, Angel, for help. Between the two of them, they were able to save the children and kill Vanessa. Afterwards, Lindsey returned to Wolfram and Hart where he received a huge promotion. In the finale episode, "To Shanshu in LA," Lindsey faced the consequences of teaming with Angel and allowing the soulful vampire to steal scrolls that contained the Prophecies of Aberjian. During a Raising ritual, Lindsey was forced to complete the reading of Latin from the scrolls while the Underworld warrior, Vocah, fought with Angel. With the ritual complete, and Vocah dead, Angel only wanted the scrolls to save Cordelia. When Lindsey refused to give them up, Angel was forced to cut off Lindsey's hand with a scythe to get the scrolls.
Lilah Morgan
Lilah Morgan started out with a role in the episode, "The Ring." She was a high-profile bidder on the fights. After Angel attempted to kill Jack Macnamara, he was electrically shocked into unconsciousness. He woke up in Lilah's office and she offered him his freedom. The only catch was that he had to ignore everything that he knew Wolfram and Hart was doing. He preferred being a captive forced to fight and returned to the Ring only to escape later. In the episode, "Five by Five," Lilah stole Faith's case from Lee when she discovered Faith's location before he did. She also played a part in the episode, "To Shanshu in LA." Although she didn't hold any significant role, she was involved in bringing Vocah forth from the underworld and was a witness to the Raising ritual. Stephanie Romanov plays Lilah.
Lee Mercer
Lee Mercer first appeared as the lawyer for Tony Papazian in the episode, "Sense and Sensitivity." For most of the episode, Lee was eager to defend his criminal client, but by the end of the episode, he dropped Mr. Papazian as a client after he became too much of a liability. Lee later appeared in "Five By Five," when he discovered that Faith, a runaway Slayer, was in town. During the meeting between Faith and the lawyers, Lee got beat up badly by the Slayer. In the episode "Blind Date," all the lawyers were subjected to mind readings to determine who had betrayed the law firm. It was discovered that Lee had been conspiring with a law firm by the name of Klein and Gabler and for that, he was executed. Lee was played by Thomas Burr.
